Next Cake

My Casan and Jasiri are having birthdays coming up next weekend and I will be attempting to make two 3 tier cakes (one for Casan and one for Tamiah who are both turning 6) and a little mushroom cake which I think is going to end up being a cupcake for my Siri who is turning the BIG 1!! and then some cake pops, which I think is going to end up be doughnut balls for some and brownie pops for the others! I have my plans set out and its going to be a LOT of work!! here is the plans for Casan's cake I have no doubt I can pull this off! but I also will have the help of one of my BFFs Christina and she is a baking CHAMP! so this is going to be so much fun!!! And I'm so ready!
Oh and this is the the cake that I was going off of for the tie cake I made! I think I almost had it!! (wink wink)

My Honor Roll Student

All E's and 1 S! 

So my Casan got honor! He was student of the year in his whole school last year for pre-K and this year he is rocking Kindergarten like a champ! I told him he MUST keep this up for the rest of his life until he gets his college degree. He agreed but we shall see!! Anywho! Im so proud of my baby! Hopefully his brothers will follow in his food steps!

My 2nd Fondant Cake

My daddy's birthday was yesterday and my mom wanted me to make a cake for him. So I decided on this cake and I think I love it. It didn't come out as sharp as I would have liked it too but I do love it! I added the design on the tie later bc I thought it added a little more "niceness" to it!! :0)

OK SOOOOO...

I'm many days late on updating this blog! I know I know, my many followers (hahaha) have been wanting to see what I am up to! So lately I have been trying my hand in cakes. And I LOVE it! Here is the first cake I did, which was a birthday cake for my niece for her 9th birthday. I was something I did at the last minute and I came up with the design right then. It was very first time using fondant and I am very happy with the result!

Today has been fun! I'm up late working on my paper! Its can some times be tough to stay focused but its important to keep your eye on your goals and remember that it will be all worth it in the end!!! I will be posting pictures on the kids @ Halloween soon, yes I know I'm late! Im a busy lady!! :0)

Manners and Technology!

So today I said "good morning" to a girl in my class. Clearly she heard me and looked up but she did not respond. I thought it was quite rude to be honest! But I didn't say anything but I did smack my teeth one good loud time! I mean, really why happened to a nice "good morning" or "hello" whatever the case may be. Times are so different now. No one speaks to each other like they use to. Its a technology world now. When people walk by they have their heads down and they are indulged in there phone or they are walking by talking to someone on the phone. Every now and then you can get a smile out of someone but trust me that's rare! People meet their future spouses online now. There is sexing and texting, so many different phones to chose from. It's exciting and all but where is the real interaction? I hope there does not come a day where people lose the connection to each other because of technology! People talk on their cell phones all the time now. In the store lines, in the car, even in public bathrooms! Listen your phone call can wait. You don't have to pick it up EVERY TIME it rings! Remember people are calling you, you answer at your own terms. Don't get in a wreck trying to answer your phone or return a text! 

I'M JUST SAYING!!

Ok so I've been wanting to start a blog for some time now and now its happening. I'm not really to sure where I want to start talking about things but I'm sure I will think of something. In this blog it will be about a little bit of everything! Some party ideas for you to try on your own at home and also about everyday things. Like relationship, friendships, work spaces and play dates! I want to talk about it all. And why not! Hey this is my space and place to let it all out. I'm hoping that I will have a place for people to respond because I would love to hear from you! I think it will be very therapeutic! Well since this my very first day of doing this I will not start a convo off today! Please spread the word that their is a new hot blog and for your friends to tune in.
